The application should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed
envelope or dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in the
place mentioned in above table up to 17.00 Hrs. on Date 20.07.2015.
No receipt will be given at any counter. Applications sent by Registered
Post/Courier/By Registered AD will not be accepted. Any
deficiency/discrepancy found in the application form and documents submitted by
the applicant will render the application invalid. On the top of the envelope “APPLICATION
FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2015-16” should be superscribed.
(8) Recruitment
Procedure:-
For vacancies against Headquarter quota selection
will be conducted by North Western Railway, Headquarter, Jaipur and for
vacancies against divisions/workshop will be done by the respective
division/workshop themselves. Selection of candidates will be based on their
achievements in relevant sports, educational qualification, general
intelligence, personality, game skills, physical fitness and observations of
coach & trial committee during trial. All eligible candidates will be
called for Trial and after Trial, only the FIT candidates will be called for
Interview. Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be
assessed further.
(9) Important Instructions:-
[9.1] Candidates should bring Original documents along with a set of self
attested photo copies of Date of Birth (Matriculation or equivalent
Certificate), Educational Qualification, Sports Achievements etc, on the day of
trial and interview, without which they will not be allowed to appear in the Trial/
interview. Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied
by an attested translation in English/Hindi. Photocopy of All documents
should be Self-attested. No TA/DA/Accommodation will be given for
appearing in the selection trials/interview. Applicants will have to bring
their own playing kit. They may also be required to stay during the selection
for 2-3 days, for which they have to make their own arrangements. The Railway
Administration have all rights reserved to fix any date, as deemed suitable,
change place or postpone trials/interview (at its own convenience), or even
cancel trials due to unforeseen circumstances against which no claim will be
accepted. Selected candidates will be posted anywhere on North Western Railway.
[9.2] Candidate applying
for more than one game/event shall submit separate applications with separate
DD/IPO as fee and documents for each event.
[9.3] Candidates those who are already in service of PSU/Government
Organisation and are eligible for the above, must apply through proper channel
and should attach “No Objection Certificate” for the same from their employer.
[9.4] Candidates should be in readiness to appear for the Trials etc. at
short notice after the last date for submission is over.
[9.5] Candidate’s admission at all stages of the recruitment will be
purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
Mere issue of call letters to the candidate will not imply that his candidature
has been finally cleared.
[9.6] Sports persons recommended for appointment will have to pass medical
test prescribed for the post to which they have been recommended.
[9.7] The decision of Railway Administration/Selection Committee in all
matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, final
selection, offer of appointment, suitability to North Western Railway/Indian
Railway and assigning of Post & Grade Pay etc. will be final and binding on
the candidates and no inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this
connection.
[9.8] Candidates should submit their application form in good quality A/4
size paper in prescribed format as Annexure-I given in notification duly
completed in all respect with self attested photo copies of necessary
enclosures (certificate of age, education, sports achievements, caste/community
etc.)
[9.9] Application should be filled up by candidates in their own hand
writing either in Hindi or in English language.
[9.10] Candidate may note that
recruitment against these notified vacancies will be conducted separately and
independently by the headquarter against the headquarter vacancies and by the
respective division/workshop for their division/workshop quota vacancies. Therefore
they should apply accordingly to the division/workshop or headquarter where
they want to be considered themselves. (para-1, 2 & 7). Candidates are not
allowed to apply for same event at two places i.e. HQ, Division or Workshop.
(9.11) Sportspersons having sports norms
for higher grade pay and applied against the vacancies for the lower grade pay,
can be considered. However, he/she will not claim for higher grade pay after
joining the railways on the basis of sports achievements prior to joining
Railways.
(9.12) Certificate of participation and
medal winning performance on letter heads of sports
Federations/Associations/Universities/State Councils are discouraged for the
recruitment purpose.
(9.13) Certificate to Sportspersons for
team/group/relay events issued by recognized
Federations/Associations/Universities should clearly indicate the actual
participation in the field of play, in the event under consideration for this
recruitment. A detail of matches and result, if any, to be given.
(9.14) Selected candidates will have to submit “Service Bond” of 5 years at
the time of appointment.
(9.15) Sportsperson recruited against sports quota shall be terminated from
service, if the information and documents furnished by him/her for recruitment,
are found incorrect/fake at any stage; observing requisite procedure for such
termination.
(10) Any of following
deficiencies/discrepancies found in the application form and documents
submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid:-
[10.1] Applications not in prescribed format and incomplete or illegible
applications.
[10.2] Applications without photograph,
LHT impression, unsigned application or invalid IPO/DD, signature in capital
letters.
[10.3] Applications without fee or less fee.
[10.4] Applications
without proof of date of birth, educational qualifications, sports achievements
etc.
[10.5] Over age or under age or date of birth not filled or wrongly
filled.
[10.6] Self-attested photocopies of
requisite certificates not enclosed.
[10.7]Application
received before the date of notification and application received after the closing date of notification.
[10.8] Not having requisite qualification at the time of applying.
[10.9] Apply for same event at two places i.e. HQ, Division, or Workshop.
[10.10] Any other irregularities which are considered invalid by RRC.
(11) All these recruitments of
sportspersons will be dealt as per Railway Board’s letter no.
2010/E(Sports)/4(1)/1(Policy) dated 31.12.2010 (RBE No. 189(B)/2010) read with
modifications issued from time to time specially policy instructions issued vide letter No.
2012/E(Sports)/4(1)/1/Policy Clarifications (RBE No. 52/2012) dated 18.04.2012.
(12) In case of any dispute, English version of the Employment Notice
will be treated valid.
